Burger King has generously partnered with Sherwood Forest Camp to raise funds for its camp programs. This Wednesday night, show up between 5:00 and 8:00 pm, order something, then simply drop your receipt in the donation boxes at the ordering counter and a portion of your bill will be donated to Sherwood Forest, helping to send economically disadvantaged kids to summer camp. More details on their Facebook page.

Thanks for putting up the notice about the fundraiser to help get kids to camp. I worked at this camp 20 years ago for 3 summers. It not only changes the kids lives, but also has an amazing impact on the college kids that work with them all summer long.
I went back last week to volunteer for 4 days during Mini Camp, which serves the youngest campers (my girls were ages 7-9). I had such a great time, and got to watch these youngster learn to swim, try new foods, overcome bedtime fears and have fun in their first time in the woods.
Please consider helping out by stopping at Burger King on Wed, or going to the website and making a donation: http://www.sherwoodforestcamp.com/
And if you know any kids who should be going to summer camp but whose families might not be able to afford it, let me know. All Sherwood campers go to camp for less than it probably takes to feed them while they are gone!
