According to the Wall Street Journal, McDonald’s will stop charging for Wi-Fi access in 11,000 of it’s 14,000 U.S. restaurants by sometime in Mid-January. Previously, McDonald’s had charged $2.95 for two hours of access.
There has been no official word from the restaurant chain, but McDonald’s USA Chief Information Officer David Grooms confirmed the news in an interview.
The service will be provided by AT&T though no financial terms were disclosed in the interview.

That's cool. I stopped going there because there were other free options, like the BK Lounge or even Culvers.
