IBM recencently conducted a survey of 1000 of it’s channel partners about social media use and found that 45 percent of their partners are experimenting with a social media strategy to grow their business, but 75 percent are unsure of how to go about it.
And of those partners surveyed LinkedIn was the clear favourite with 80 percent of IBM’s partners saying they visit LinkedIn at least monthly, and 56 percent daily or weekly. Next was YouTube at 77 per cent, followed by Facebook at 68 per cent. Interestingly, while many vendors have been very active on Twitter, just 50 per cent of partners said they use Twitter at least monthly, and 29 per cent daily of them weekly.
As someone that attempts to use social media in business, I find this stuff interesting, like we are on the cutting edge of a change in how business gets done. Anyway, I thought I would throw up a quick one question survey to find out what your preferred social media platform is:
