In yet another sign of the passing of summer, BATTL, also know as Bring a Tweep to Lunch, has come to the eve of it’s last regular installment. And when I say last installment, I mean that Todd Jordan, the man responsible for putting these together each week all summer long, won’t be holding them every Friday any more (until next summer hopefully). It is sad to see them go, as they have provided many great conversations and chances to meet new people, but certainly Todd does not hold the patent on the idea and hopefully others will continue to find ways to get together.
That said, to mark the occasion of the end of the line, something special has been cooked up. There will be two BATTLs tomorrow. In what could be interpreted as a sort of passing of the torch, Versa Dave (@versadave) will be hosting one BATTL at Granite City Food & Brewery in Creve Coeur, while Todd simultaneously hosts a different BATTL at Tortillaria in the Central West End. Maps are available from the calendar to the right.
