Er, a website, actually…it seems as if someone has set up a website to serve as kind of a marketplace where people wanting invites to Google’s new Wave app can request them and people that have extra invites to give can find people in need (maybe want is a better word) of them.
The site is called GoogleWaveInvites.com. Once there you either click a button saying you have an invite to give, or the button to request an invite. It is really about that simple.
Does it work? No way to know for sure. You are asked for your information, and there is no privacy policy that I can find, so be aware of that. Also, due to the nature of how these invites work, you don’t know when Google will let you in or why, so there is probably no way to track where your invite came from.
I will also add, and if you go there you will see for yourself, that the requests are coming in far faster than they are going back out.
